This isn’t a cookie-cutter mini session. Every family is beautifully different, and that’s why we’ll work together to plan and customise your session to capture meaningful portraits that truly reflect who you are.

Before your session, we’ll connect via Zoom or phone to chat about what matters most to you, plan what you’ll wear, and go over any questions you have. This helps me get to know you a little better — so I can ensure the portraits we create feel authentic, emotional, and uniquely you.

​

Your portrait session is your chance to relax, have fun, and be fully present with the ones you love — while I capture a variety of beautiful moments to choose from. Whether it's a dreamy sunset at the beach, a peaceful morning in the park, or a cozy session in my Nelson studio, we’ll choose the perfect setting together. (Have another location in mind? Let me know — travel fees may apply.)

✨ As part of your prize, you’ll also receive ONE fine art matted portrait, ready to frame (valued at $350). It’s a stunning keepsake that’s yours to treasure.

Please note: Your prize includes one printed portrait only. No other prints or digital files are included. However, during your design and ordering appointment, you'll get to view all the best portraits from your session — and if you fall in love with more (which many families do!), you’ll have the option to purchase additional artwork or upgrade your gift to a larger piece or portrait collection.

Please note:

• Your prize is valid for you and your immediate family only and cannot be transferred or gifted without prior consent.

• To keep things fair, only one prize can be claimed per family. In some cases, more than one family member may have entered and won a prize — if this applies to you, please get in touch so we can pass the extra prize on to another deserving family.​

 

I have limited dates and times available, and you can see what’s available by clicking on the session type that interests you in the booking link above. If you have a special date in mind that isn’t shown, feel free to reach out — I’ll do my best to make it work (though I can’t make promises!).

If you are expecting a new baby in the next 6months and are interested in a Newborn session - please book in your due date. Babies don't always arrived when you expect them too so it makes it difficult to lock in a specific date. So by booking in your due date I can limit the number of newborns I have due around the same time and keep availability in my calendar to make sure we can get you in nice and quick once bubs makes their big arrival into the world. This date WON'T be the date of your session just a place holder in my calendar.

If I don’t hear from you within 7 days, your prize will be reallocated to another family.​​

To secure your session in my calendar, a $100 fully refundable booking deposit is required.

​

Think of it like a bond — it’s simply there to hold your spot and ensure you're committed to attending both your portrait session and your design & ordering appointment.

​

This deposit is fully refundable, unless:

• You cancel within 14 days of your session, or

• You don’t show up for your session or ordering appointment.

 

Each session is carefully planned and customised, and when someone doesn’t attend, another family misses out on the opportunity to have their portraits taken. Unfortunately, we’ve had this happen in the past — and this small deposit just helps make sure everyone is respectful of the time set aside for them.

You’ll have the option to:

• Receive your $100 deposit back after your ordering appointment should you choose not to invest in additional portraits,

• Or use it as credit toward any additional portraits or artwork you may wish to purchase. Most families choose to apply it as credit, but the choice is entirely yours.

At your design and ordering appointment, you’ll receive the same personalised service as our full-paying clients.

We’ll begin with a beautiful presentation of the best images from your session — it's such a special moment seeing your family captured in this way. We also use the latest technology to show you exactly how your portraits could look on your own walls, taking all the guesswork out of choosing the right images for your home. It’s a fun, emotional, and inspiring experience!

From here, you’ll get to choose your favourite image to receive as your complimentary fine art matted portrait — your gift as a runner-up winner.

​

Just a heads up though... choosing just one image can be really tough! We’ll likely capture a variety of portraits you’ll absolutely love. If that’s the case, you’ll have the option to purchase additional images or upgrade your gift to something bigger.

• Printed portraits start at $350

• Most families fall in love with their images and choose to invest $1,500 or more in a collection of printed and digital artwork that becomes a lasting legacy in their homes.

 

That said, there is no obligation to purchase anything beyond your free portrait — you’ll only choose what you truly love.

However, I’d rather be upfront with you: If you think you may want more than just your gift portrait, it’s worth considering your budget ahead of time. We do offer interest free finance options if that helps but I would hate for you to fall in love with your portraits and feel disappointed if purchasing additional images isn't an option for you. So please take a moment to think about whether this experience is the right fit for you and your family right now.
